Accounts Assistant

Penns Personnel have an exciting opportunity available for an Accounts Assistant to work for our client, who are a growing manufacturer based in Birmingham.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, diligent and good all-rounder to work alongside our accounting and production teams. You will have a strong work ethic with a positive attitude and the ability to problem solve. This role involves high levels of care and attention to detail.

Your duties will include:

  • Processing cash and card payments from customers

  • Invoicing goods for despatch

  • Updating inventories on Sage

  • Use Sage to investigate and analyse accounts and submitting reports

  • Assist with the audit and year end reporting

  • Recording of inventory of stock

  • Liaising with other internal departments

  • Filing and keeping paperwork up to date

The candidate should ideally possess the following:

  • Experience within a finance or accounts team.

  • Will need strong interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent numeracy skills

  • Should be PC literate with a good level of experience on Microsoft applications, with strong Excel skills and good knowledge of Sage.

  • It is important to have a methodical and process driven mind-set with ability to seek and present your feedback at all levels within the business.
