Penns Personnel have an exciting opportunity available for an Accounts Assistant to work for our client, who are a growing manufacturer based in Birmingham.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, diligent and good all-rounder to work alongside our accounting and production teams. You will have a strong work ethic with a positive attitude and the ability to problem solve. This role involves high levels of care and attention to detail.
Your duties will include:
Processing cash and card payments from customers
Invoicing goods for despatch
Updating inventories on Sage
Use Sage to investigate and analyse accounts and submitting reports
Assist with the audit and year end reporting
Recording of inventory of stock
Liaising with other internal departments
Filing and keeping paperwork up to date
The candidate should ideally possess the following:
Experience within a finance or accounts team.
Will need strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent numeracy skills
Should be PC literate with a good level of experience on Microsoft applications, with strong Excel skills and good knowledge of Sage.
It is important to have a methodical and process driven mind-set with ability to seek and present your feedback at all levels within the business.
