Business Development Advsor

Penns Personnel are delighted to be recruiting for a valued client based in Kings Norton. We are looking for a competent, experienced Business Development Advisor who will be primarily responsible for generating and developing new clients to this growing, successful organisation. The role also includes support to the Team Leader by performing daily operational and supervisory duties with the team.

Brief Sales Development Duties:

  • Responsible for converting inbound and outbound leads into successful sales

  • Identifying opportunities to reach targets by generating new sales via inbound and outbound techniques to generate additional business; including sales call planning and occasional field sales.

  • Working with Relationship Business Advisors to retain existing clients; requiring strong persuasion, negotiation and turn-around skills. 

  • Attend and contribute to events, client locations and other external activities to generate new sales prospects 

  • Represent the company at other events and activities as requested. This may include reasonable weekend and evening working. 

Brief Senior Business Advisor Duties :

  • Closely mange the BDA team and fulfil the required targets and standards set by the Team Leader

  • To ensure that targets are met and opportunities for further growth are identified and are capitalised on. 

  • Managing and delegating incoming enquiries whilst ensuring that enquiries are actioned productively and in the most effective manner. 

  • Organising and exploring outbound sales pipelines as well as partnering with Suppliers to extend the brand awareness and referrals. 

  • Ensuring that the standards of enquiries/emails and calls meet the required best practices, ethos.

  • Communicating and delivering team goals and targets set by the Team Leader 

  • Taking responsibility for setting and monitoring effective standards of operating procedures to meet performance standards

  • Holding regular formal and informal one-one meetings with BDA’s to improve overall performance of the team.

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) ideally.

  • Strong sales/business development skills and experience

  • Experience in acting as a representative for a company in various settings

  • Taking responsibility for setting and monitoring effective standards of operating procedures to meet performance standards

  • Communicating and delivering team goals and targets
